I am currently at the University of Sussex, with a generous Experienced Researcher Grant from the Humboldt Foundation. My research project analyses the topic 'universal norms for particular bodies', theorizing implications of inequality and post-colonial conditions. My areas of expertise include (the history of) social philosophy, political philosophy, epistemology, and philosophy of science. I have published primarily on Kant, Hegel, Marx, neo-Kantians, and Adorno. I am also interested in Du Bois, Critical Race Theorists, Post-Colonialism, Liberation Theology, and Feminism.

I took a first degree in Dresden, Germany, before moving to Brighton, UK, to pursue an MA and a PhD at the University of Sussex. After being awarded a doctorate in philosophy in 2012, I spent two years as a postdoctoral researcher at University College London with Sebastian Gardner as my mentor and funding from the DAAD. Subsequently, I researched at TU Berlin with funding from the Thyssen Foundation and Günter Abel as my mentor. I frequently write peer reviews for leading journals, and I love teaching, online and in person. My languages are German, Spanish, English, French, and Portuguese.
