I am a Feodor Lynen Fellow at the University of Sussex, funded by a Humboldt Grant for Experienced Researchers and hosted by Tanja Staehler and Gordon Finlayson. My project is entitled "universal norms for particular bodies" and analyzes the epistemological and moral relevance of social inequalities. My areas of expertise include the history of philosophy (including political economy and the history of philosophy of science), issues in epistemology and social philosophy, and the works of Kant, Hegel, Marx, neo-Kantians and Adorno. I am also interested in Du Bois, Critical Race Theorists and Feminism.

I took a first degree in Dresden, Germany, before moving to Brighton, UK, to pursue an MA and a PhD at the University of Sussex. After being awarded a doctorate in philosophy in 2012, I spent two years as a postdoctoral researcher at University College London with Sebastian Gardner as my mentor and funding from the DAAD. Subsequently, I started at TU Berlin with funding from the Thyssen Foundation and Günter Abel as my mentor. I have  been a peer reviewer for many leading journals and I am proud to teach in the outreach program of Bard College Berlin. My languages are German, Spanish, English, French and Portuguese. Please do not hesitate contacting me in any of those languages.
